2026 5K Fun Run/Walk Photos

On October 17, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus hosted their 24th annual 5km

Run/Walk in support of schools in Haiti. H.E.A.R.T.S. (Haitians Educated and Ready to

Serve) has been a mission of St. Andrew’s church for over 30 years, currently supporting

four schools in the Cap Haitien area.

This year’s Run/Walk raised $10,557.

It was a chilly morning but the sun was shining and the fall colours were in their glory.

Prizes for the top male and female runners, as well as the top 4 fundraisers were presented.

Special guests to this year’s event made the day memorable. Vilmer and Sara Paul from

Haiti were in Fergus at the perfect time to join the event. Vilmer is the Principal/Pastor of

Institution Centre d’Espoir du Pays (ICEP) school in Cap-Haitien, one of the 4 schools

H.E.A.R.T.S. supports. It was a privilege to have direct beneficiaries present on this

occasion. They spoke to the group about conditions at their school, some of their school

history and vision for the future.
